Context

Protect the Heart is no doubt my proudest Game Jam game up until now.

I had the idea to use Unity's physics system to implement the chains on attached to the tanks in order to achieve fun physics-based gameplay.

The years of experience of making games started to show finally. The team set a proper scope and we used handy tools and methodologies from the beginning in order to make the game.

My involvement

In protect the Heart, I mainly worked on the Characters & Visuals, the UI and on the Sounds.

Challenges

The biggest Challenge was implementing sounds using Unity's in built system instead of FMOD, which caused a lot of bugs.

We also sadly decided to make a Local Multiplayer Game, which of course wasn't ideal during the lockdown in the pademic.
